Reporting to the Communication Director, the Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator will assist with public relations, social media, and internal communications to advance the Phoenix House brand. The Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the content creation and community moderation for all of Phoenix House’s social media channels, based on the editorial calendar and strategy developed by the Communication Director. The Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator will ensure that Phoenix House is positioned as a forward-thinking substance use disorder treatment provider in the media. This role is part of the Experience Department (Marketing & Communications) and work collaboratively across the national organization.
•Bachelor’s degree (communications, journalism, public relations preferred)
•Minimum two (2) years related experience
•Interest in health and wellness, substance abuse prevention, mental health, and/or public health
•Track-record of producing and curating engaging content for a brand
•Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
•Experience crafting pitches and coordinating media opportunities
•Ability to analyze and report on key performance indicators for social and earned media
•Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact well with senior staff
•Energetic, passionate, and hungry for success and furthering their career in the field
•Knowledge of and experience managing social media platforms and analytics tools including HootSuite, Facebook Insights and Twitter Analytics
•Excellent time management and organizational skills
