We are currently seeking a Food Services Assistant to supervise the preparation of food, the serving line, and portion control in accordance with the weekly menu and ensure all food preparation areas are sanitary, safe, and free of all hazardous conditions. The Food Services Assistant also will train residents the basic skills of sanitation and food preparation, handling and storage procedures.



  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.

  • Florida Food Safety Manager Certification

  • Valid Florida driver’s license with clean drivingrecord


  • Knowledge of food preparation in an institutionalsetting, government regulations, and health and safety codes.

  • Working knowledge of Hazardous Analysis andCritical Control Points Standards (HACCP).

  • Ability to operate, clean, and sanitize generalkitchen equipment.


  • Effectively supervise clients in daily kitchenoperations.

  • Ability to work with a diverse criminal justicepopulation and communicate with clients, staff, the general public, andvendors.

  • Establish appropriate boundaries and professionalrelationships with all residents in treatment, including former clients served.

  • Take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperatingwith others, offering to help others when needed, and considering largerorganization or team goals rather than individual concerns..
