Phoenix House Transitional Support Services (TSS) serves adult men who are no longer experiencing physical withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs, but who need a controlled environment to maintain sobriety and learn skills for sustaining recovery. Key components of the program include a structured daily schedule, case management services, and self-help groups. Psycho-educational groups are also offered to the patients with a goal of allowing the patient to better understand and deal with their illness. The program emphasizes the identification of each patient’s strengths and needs, and uses evidence-based practices to address them. The program provides comprehensive clinical evaluations and develops a detailed transition plan that helps patients find a state-funded, long-term residential addiction treatment program.

The Direct position is a vital part of our team approach to individual/ trauma informed client care. They are responsible for providing direct support to up to 27 all male clients utilizing various skill sets including motivational interviewing and de-escalation skills. Our primary mission is to assist clients to become engaged and motivated in their treatment in early recovery and we do this through excellent customer service providing as safe an environment as possible.



•Knowledge obtained through completion of a Bachelor Degree curriculum from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience preferred.

•Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record


•Two (2) years of Substance Abuse and/or mental health experience preferred.


•Computer proficiency and ability to effectively navigate our electronic health record system

•Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations

•Properly utilize internal Logs, Change of shift report/Checklist, Timecard policy & procedures, MAR forms/Medication Monitoring and Bed Bug Procedure.
