The Program Director provides leadership and administrative and clinical management of a residential treatment and continuing care planning for youths (males and females) ages 13-17 years old. The director is responsible for the effective delivery of trauma informed and evidenced based services to clients and family members, providing leadership, management and clinical supervision to staff in the delivery of direct service, and ensuring the successful integration of treatment and educational services. Employee exercises independent judgment and discretion and reports to the Senior Director of the Phoenix House Academy in Los Angeles County.
•MFTI, MSW, Ph.D. required. LMFT/ LCSW preferred.
•At least two years of leadership and management experience required
•Bilingual preferred, but not required
•Three years’ experience working in an (adolescent) co-occurring residential treatment setting.
•Knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidenced based practices such as Seeking Safety; CBI-SA, Matrix, MAP, Strengthening Families etc.
•At least two year of clinical supervisory experience overseeing therapeutic staff in a substance abuse/mental health treatment environment.
•Lead and direct the overall management, organization, strategy, and operations of the residential services program.
•Ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients by developing and maintaining a therapeutic milieu in collaboration with the Director of Mental Health.
•Manage annual operating budget to ensure the fiscal operation of the program meets annual budget expectations.
•Responsible for employee staffing, on-boarding, retention, and administration across the program.
•Institutes and supports employee supervision and coaching system that supports employee development and advancement.
•Oversee and coordinate efforts to ensure program meets or exceeds performance standards as established by agency, regulatory bodies (CCLD, CARF), contractors, and other agency stakeholders.
•Maintains advanced knowledge regarding industry standards, regulatory changes, innovations, and trends for program development and improvements.
