Phoenix House Mobile Assessment Coordinator in Arlington, Virginia

Responsible for developing new prospects and maintaining relationships and interactions with existing client relationships, and current and prospective referral sources to market Phoenix House services. This position will work closely with the call center department to ensure timely response and cross communication of referral activity, and also be responsible for conducting assessments and intake interviews of prospective clients for appropriateness for treatment, including consequences of chemical use and make appropriate treatment recommendations. Extensive travel, work nights, weekends and the ability to work independently are essential.


  • Bachelor degree from approved university in Social Work, Administration/Counseling/Human Services/Nursing or related field required

  • Virginia Board of Counseling C-SAC is required

  • Must possess a state driver’s license with no restrictions and meets all requirements of facility vehicle policy


  • Minimum two (2) years direct experience in healthcare marketing preferred

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in substance abuse treatment experience preferred.

  • Knowledgeable of the medical aspects of addiction, including dual diagnosis, and must have excellent assessment skills


  • Possess a thorough knowledge of various treatment methods and experience working with diverse populations.

  • Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs preferred

  • Must be able to work with male/female, adult (18-over) and adolescent (13-18) substance

use/dually diagnosed/opiate dependent population.

  • Must be able to work with culturally diverse populations

  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies, referral relationships, and community relations activities for a specific geographic area.
