We are currently seeking a full time Residential Specialist to be responsible for monitoring the smooth operation of the Girls Residential Center through supervision of a Residential Community Structure. Responsibilities include monitoring the therapeutic milieu and client activities, responding to client’s crises and emergencies as needed, transport clients to outside activities, evening AA meetings and appointments as needed. This position requires the individual to possess good boundary guidelines within the scope and setting of the therapeutic interaction. This position assures a safe and drug free environment and provides Life Skills and 12 Step Education.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC-A, CAC, CSAC) required
• Minimum one (1) year experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred
• Knowledge of addiction treatment and of 12 Step recovery process preferred
• Certified in First Aid and CPR, Medication Management a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Per diem; weekdays and weekends, day/afternoon/overnight shifts
