  • Pre-employment vetting to include but not limited to initiating background checks, drug screens, TB and/or medical testing, drug screening, fingerprinting, Reference Checks, State background checks and sexual offender registry check.

  • In the event background and/or drug testing information appears, quickly notify the recruiter and share the information in-so-far as it allows the recruiter to determine whether or not the information is or is not a ‘disqualifier’.

  • Prepare and send pre-adverse and adverse action letters with the approval of HR Recruiter.

  • Work with the HR Recruiter/Manger to assist with any OFCCP Reporting or other activities to ensure compliance.

  • Compile and send the government VETS report yearly.

  • Ensure that all positions requiring a license or certification to work is verified.

  • Maintain electronic file documentation.

  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual as update as changes occur. Ensure the SOP Manual would allow any member of the HR team could successfully step in and perform the role in your absence, including maintaining an updated state and program checklist.

  • Send out policy and procedure manuals as well as new hire documents for signature and ensure they are correctly signed, returned, and e-Filed.

  • Be available to assist either a Program Director and/or member of the HR Team in the event of either a planned audit or spot audit and successfully interface with the auditor.

  • Assist with scheduling if requested.

  • Assist with New Hire Orientation as needed.

  • Assist the Recruiters/HR Managers to be sure that all I-9 Section I and II are complete in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and model ethical standards and behaviors as well as demonstrate a professional demeanor.

  • Tracking and reconciling invoices for several different vendors utilized by HR during the hiring process.



  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and Program Specific laws and requirements as they relate to compliant hiring.

  • A high level of organizational and time management skill.

  • Experience working in a process driven role and/or environment.

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.

  • Understands when to ask questions and has a deep respect for the critical importance that processes and laws play in conducting all hiring and on boarding.

  • Adept at working with competing priorities.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Resilient in the face of challenge.

  • Use this as an interview questions not needed in the job description willing to stand by what you do know, but equally as willing to admit what you don’t.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Ability to maintain excellent working relationships across the entire hierarchy.

  • Ability to take a customer service, teamwork driven approach offering to help others when needed


  • Associates Degree Required. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.



  • Intermediate to High level of competency using Microsoft Windows, Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

  • Experienced using on line tools and resources (Background Checks, I-9, References, etc.,) and navigating within ADP Workforce Now and/or other equivalent HRIS.

  • Experience working with Talent Management Products such as iCIMS, Taleo, EScreen and HireImage
